Street Magicians
Street Magic is an independent magazine and creative project based in Los Angeles, dedicated to documenting the art, people, and culture that exist beyond the mainstream. Rooted in black and grey art, tattooing, graffiti, lowrider culture, photography and music, we shine a light on the individuals and communities whose creativity continues to shape the streets and everything beyond them.
We believe every piece of art has a story, and every artist has a history worth preserving.
Through intimate conversations, original photography, illustrations, and carefully curated features, Street Magic goes beyond the finished work to explore the experiences, influences and environments that make it possible.
PUBLISHING
We started publishing zines in Santa Monica, CA, back in 2009, making graffiti, photography, and art zines for ourselves and our friends. We started as a small DIY operation, working out of Kinko’s, printing shirts in our friends’ front yards, and slapping stickers all around town. Since then, we’ve grown into a collection of books, magazines, and printed matter documenting the artists, stories, and communities that surround and inspire us. Through Street Magic Supply and Diablos Book Club, we continue to create printed work made to be collected, shared, and passed on.

CLOTHING & ACCESSORIES
Our clothing comes from the same sentiment as our publishing. We make what we want to wear, in hopes that others enjoy it just as much as we do. We seek out quality garments and work with artists whose work we admire. Heavily inspired by what we grew up around, Los Angeles, graffiti, skateboarding, and lowriders. We create original graphics and pay homage to the imagery and culture we grew up on. From printed tees to custom dice you can roll with, each piece is made to be worn, lived in, and collected.

EXHIBITS
Bringing our community together comes first. Showcasing the work of artists we admire is what brings it all together. Through art shows, pop-ups, and gatherings, we create spaces for artists to share their work and connect with others. From tattooers and painters to photographers and other creatives, our exhibits celebrate the people we know and the cultures we love. At the heart of it all is creating opportunities for people to connect through art.
